Servant
Ministries seeks to educate people about their unique S.H.A.P.E. to
help them discover their Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality
and Experiences. This discovery will help each
person get in touch with how God uniquely created them for a purpose
and a work that God prepared in advance for them to do (Ephesians 2:10).
For more information about Servant Ministries, talk to a Ministry Guide about your SHAPE or if you want help getting connected in ministry, please call 651-739-5144, ext. 8 or send an e-mail.
Mission Statement
Servant Ministries exists to equip each person in their gifts to serve as Jesus served.
Matthew 20:28: "...just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."
The Biblical foundation of equipping:
- Equipping is the primary purpose of church leaders
Ephesians 4:11-13: “It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
- Every member is a part of the royal priesthood.
1 Peter 2:9: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”
- Each believer is given gifts to serve others.
Romans 12:4-6: “Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts according to the grace given us.”
- Each of us was created to serve.
Ephesians 2:10: “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
- Each person is called to use their gifts in service to
others.
1 Peter 4:10: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.
