About Us
Woodbury Lutheran Preschool & Kindergarten is a nonprofit program offered as a community outreach of Woodbury Lutheran Church since 1970. Our mission is to share the love and Good News of Jesus Christ with young children and families, while providing an excellent early education. We accomplish our mission by providing:
A Wide Variety of Learning Experiences
Our hands-on, age appropriate curriculum targets all areas of early childhood development. Each child is encouraged in their intellectual, social / emotional, spiritual, and physical growth through a wide variety of creative and stimulating learning opportunities provided daily. We strive to maintain a balance of child-directed play/exploration with teacher-directed activities, to provide a well-rounded experience.
Small Class Sizes
Small class sizes are intentionally provided to ensure your child has the individual attention he or she needs and deserves on a daily basis.
A Faith Filled Environment
In this faith-filled place, children learn they are very special, uniquely created, beloved children of God. Bible stories, verses, songs, prayer, and discussion of specific character traits found in Scripture help support the children's faith development and are central to each child's experience at Woodbury Lutheran Preschool & Kindergarten.
Support
We receive special needs support when indicated from School District 833, provide education and support services references for parents when requested, are commited to open communication with parents in supporting the needs of children, and offer ongoing training, and continuing education opportunities for our staff.
Our programs are licensed by the State of Minnesota Department of Human Services. All teaching staff members are licensed and/or degreed in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.
