The Music Ministry of Woodbury Lutheran Church unites the body of believers in corporate worship. Participants in music ministry are given the opportunity to use their gifts to glorify God and encourage others through music. This ministry facilitates the building of relationships through participation in musical activities and nurtures the gift of music in all phases of congregational life. |
Woodbury Lutheran Chorale
The Woodbury Lutheran Chorale, directed by Mark Shepperd, is our large adult choir that participates in Sunday Sanctuary worship services twice monthly. The choir rehearses from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings. Membership is open without audition to anyone high school age and above.
Celebration
Celebration, directed by Mark Shepperd, is a select group of 16 men and women that sing music of a wide variety of styles. Celebration participates in Sanctuary worship approximately once per month. Membership is by audition.
Praise Band
The Praise Band is a small group of singers and instrumentalists that perform contemporary Christian music. Directed by Mark Shepperd, the Praise Band participates in Sanctuary worship about once a month as well as our mid-week Lenten services. Membership is by audition.
Kids of the Kingdom
Kids of the Kingdom, directed by Angela Sadat, is a choir for children in grades three through six. This choir participates in Sanctuary worship services once a month. Rehearsals are Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m. For more information contact Angela Sadat.

Church Mouse Choir
Church Mouse Choir is for children ages 4 through 2nd grade. We rehearse on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-6:15 in the Paul room and sing in Sanctuary worship approximately once a month. What is Church Mouse Choir, you ask? Well, it's a little singing and a little dancing. The children will learn many songs that will help them get Jesus from their heads to their hearts. Every night each child will get their own carpet square to sit and dance on. We'll spend the first few minutes of our time together getting our "wiggles" out with some upbeat songs to dance to. Then we'll sit and work on our songs to be sung during worship. After a couple more dancing songs we'll end with a snack.

JuBELLee Ringers
JuBELLee Ringers, directed by Kathy Jackson, is our adult handbell choir. The choir participates in Sanctuary worship services once a month. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Voices In Bronze
Voices In Bronze, directed by Kathy Jackson, is a handbell choir for students in grades 7-12. The choir participates in the Sanctuary worship services once a month. Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 5:00-6:00pm.

Brass Ensemble
The Brass Ensemble rehearses Sundays from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on alternate weeks. They participate in our Christmas Festival Concert Orchestra, on Festival Sundays in the Sanctuary as well as other times throughout the year.
Genesis Worship Musicians
The Genesis Worship Music Team is a continuously rotating group of musicians who use modern worship music to lead our Sunday morning Genesis gatherings. The musicians who lead Genesis come from a wide variety of experiences and backgrounds both in life and music, yet share a common and strong desire to worship Jesus Christ.
